Pinchas
Pinchas has turned back My wrath from the Israelites by being zealous with My jealousy. Numbers 25:11

Pinchas puts a man to death for idolatrous licentiousness and gets rewarded. While this particular story is difficult for us to accept as modeling appropriate behavior it does raise the matter of how sometimes spontaneity is the right call. There are moments in time in which consultation can take too long and one simply has to act. The challenge is determining when a moment really does call for immediate action and when slowing down is a better choice.
