Parashat Kedoshim
You shall not hate your brother in your heart. Leviticus 19:17
If God has given you a good heart that prompts you to give generously to tzedakah, then don't use that same heart to hate your brother (R. Yechiel Meir of Gostynin, late 19th century).
How we use our body, limbs and organs, matters. Life is a gift. Our bodies are a gift. Our task is to use our gifts wisely, to do good deeds and speak kind words. Anything else is a misuse of our potential as living beings.
