Parashat Re'eh
See this day, I set before you blessing and curse... (Deut. 11:26)
I think the emphasis of this verse ought to be on the seeing. Imagination is seeing with the mind's eye. In our society, imagination is too often undervalued as frivolous or fictitious. Yet without imagination we do the same things over and over, whether they result in blessing or curse.
